Give Injured and Homeless Animals a Second Chance With The TenderCare Emergency Fund

Each year, the TenderCare Emergency Fund provides lifesaving medical care for hundreds of sick and injured homeless animals. The fund has helped dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, wildlife, snakes, rats, and other animals.

Thanks to your generosity, the TenderCare Emergency Fund has given thousands of homeless animals a second chance for the past 10 years. Our ability to provide the highest quality care to the greatest number of animals is based solely on the contributions we receive from people like you. We willingly donate our professional fees, hospitalization, critical nursing care, food, and more. Your donation helps us buy medications, oxygen, blood products, and surgical supplies. All proceeds go directly to animals in need.

Available for Adoption:

Duke

Duke is a very sweet Golden Retriever mix. We are guessing he is around 5-6 years of age. He came to TenderCare with a large hotspot (skin infection) around his neck and multiple fly bites to his ears. He has since been treated and fully recovered.  He seems to like other dogs and doesn't mind cats. He does have hip dysplasia but doesn't show any signs of pain or discomfort.  He takes Gloscosamine and Chondroitin everyday to keep his joints healthy. All he needs now is a loving family to take him home.  If you are interested in meeting this wonderful companion please contact us as soon as possible!

Meet two of our animal heroes:

  • Meghan was found on a railroad track suffering from head trauma and her leg was severed below the knee and crawling with maggots. A Good Samaritan drove two hours to bring her to TenderCare Veterinary Medical Center. Veterinarians performed surgery and intensive medical therapy, and hoped for the best. Although the odds were against Meghan, the 9-month-old corgi-schipperke mix survived thanks to a caring healthcare team and the TenderCare Emergency Fund, which paid for her care.

  • Squilly is the bravest, most forgiving cat of all. He had been tied in a cat carrier with ropes or rubber bands around his legs that cut to the bone. Squilly sustained cigarette burns and knife wounds over much of his body. After extensive medical therapy, his health and spirit began to heal. Thanks to our TenderCare Emergency Fund, Squilly got the care he needed and we won a cruelty case in court on his behalf.
